1. Service Overview
All Things Notary, LLC provides professional mobile and individual notary services, including estate planning signings, real estate closings, apostille facilitation, and general document notarization throughout Wilmington, North Carolina and surrounding areas. Services are performed by commissioned North Carolina notaries.
2. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
Ensuring all signers are present, willing, and of sound mind
Providing valid, government-issued photo identification
Preparing all documents in advance (unless printing service is requested)
Notifying us of cancellations or rescheduling in accordance with our Cancellation Policy
Ensuring any witnesses required are present (unless requested through us)
We reserve the right to refuse service if the signing violates North Carolina law or ethical notarial standards.
3. Legal Compliance
All services are conducted in accordance with the North Carolina Notary Public Act.
We do not provide legal advice, draft documents, or guarantee the legal effect of any notarized document.
The notarial certificate must be in English, regardless of the language of the document.
Apostille services are limited to facilitation only. We do not issue apostilles. They are processed through the North Carolina Secretary of State.
4. Payment Terms
- 
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
 - 
We accept multiple forms of payment including credit/debit cards, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, and cash.
 - 
A travel fee of $0.70 per mile roundtrip is applied for mobile appointments.
 - 
Late payments on invoiced accounts may be subject to interest or service suspension.

5. Cancellations & Refunds
By booking an appointment, you agree to our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which requires 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Refunds are not available once services have been rendered.

6. Limitation of Liability
All Things Notary, LLC is not liable for:
- 
Errors in documents prepared by third parties
 - 
Missed deadlines due to incomplete or inaccurate client-provided information
 - 
Delays caused by postal carriers, third-party vendors, or Secretary of State processing
 - 
Losses resulting from a client’s failure to follow legal or procedural requirements

In no event shall our liability exceed the total amount paid for the service in question.

7. Privacy
We collect only minimal information required to perform notary services. We do not collect Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or banking information. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and service descriptions, is the property of All Things Notary, LLC and may not be copied, reused, or redistributed without written consent.

9. Modifications
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Notarization Terms
All notarizations performed by All Things Notary, LLC are conducted in accordance with the North Carolina Notary Public Act and applicable administrative rules.
By requesting notary services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- 
Proper Identification Is Required:
All signers must present a current, valid, government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, or state-issued identification card. The notary reserves the right to refuse service if proper ID is not provided. - 
Signers Must Be Present and Willing:
All parties signing documents must appear in person before the notary at the time of notarization and must do so voluntarily and with full understanding of the document being signed. - 
Documents Must Be Complete:
Documents must be fully prepared and completed prior to notarization. We do not fill in blanks, draft content, or provide assistance with document preparation. Documents with missing sections or incomplete fields may be rejected at the time of service. - 
Notarial Certificates Must Be in English:
In accordance with North Carolina law, all notarial certificates must be written in English, regardless of the language used in the underlying document. - 
We Do Not Provide Legal Advice:
Notaries are not attorneys and are prohibited from offering legal advice, interpreting legal documents, or advising signers on the suitability or enforceability of any document. - 
Refusal of Service:
The notary may lawfully refuse to perform a notarization if: 
Any legal requirements are not met.
Satisfactory evidence of identification is not provided.
If fraud is suspected.
If the signer appears unwilling.
If the signer is being coerced.
If the signer is not of sound mind or unable to understand the nature of the transaction.
